has put up a video that tests the Magic Lantern RAW out of the Canon 50D against the sun. The images are really stunning:
this short montage is to see how RAW video holds up in harsh direct sun light. I used NO ND filters, Camera was a Canon 50D running the Magic Lantern Software/Hack, shot at 1584×662 (2.39:1) iso was at 100, F5.5 upwards, lens was a Canon 18-200mm EF, workflow was RAW DATA to DNG to Cineform.mov to Premiere to EXPORT and Upscale to 1920×1080 24p MP4. When imported into After Effects some minor adjustment were made, overall color was increased a tad. Music was created by me looping free samples in Premiere. Im still stunned at how powerful this Canon RAW video Hack is on a 2nd hand camera that cost me £310 + extra batteries and + a very fast CF card.
