Hive Lighting, the biggest name in plasma lighting, recently launched ‘Bee Plasma Flood’, a 276 Watt light that puts out the equivalent of a 575W HMI fixture, without the ballasts.
Here are some of the features:
Open face style plasma light, similar to a redhead.
Shape is similar to a 1×1 LED panel
100 degree field of view,
Unique reflector system that focuses a majority of the light in the center 50 degrees
Totally flicker free
CRI of 94
Color temperature can be varied from 4800K to 5600K to 6500K (within the daylight range); plus a ‘moonlight’ mode that gives a bluish effect
10,000+ hours battery life
Weight 11 lbs without power supply. Power supply is about 8 lbs. Total weight of kit is about 20 lbs.
It comes with an AC supply ($495) (90-270V) or a DC supply ($995) (28 V, 10A).
The fixture itself is priced at about $1,995
