Adobe CC is bringing the rain this IBC

The Adobe Creative Cloud suite has just upped its game big time, with major updates to its software.

  • Full integration with Adobe Premiere Pro CC via Direct Link – no need for DPX renders!
  • GPU support

Here are the big changes coming this IBC:

  • Native file format support for Cinema DNG, Sony RAW, Phantom Cine, improved MJPG from Canon 1DC, Sony XAVC Long GOP, Panasonic AVC Ultra (Long GOP), 64 bit ProRes decoding (Mac OS X 10.8 or higher only), and support for exporting XAVC up to 4K and AVCi200.
  • GPU debayering for CinemaDNG.
  • RED Dragon 6K native support, with full RED color science built in. Also, an improved proxy workflow if your system is slow.
  • New Monitor Overlays feature for critical information to be superimposed in both Source and Program Monitors.
  • Fast metadata viewing
  • Many multicam features.
  • Improved support for captions.

 
Adobe Media Encoder CC

This one was important. I had reported that AME was slow with After Effects:

  • GPU Enabled Rendering.
  • Automated Image Processing with presets created yourself.
  • Sync Settings over multiple computers.
  • Better XAVC support.
