About the Play
Science fiction is rarely represented in theater. I created this play as an homage to Rossum’s Universal Robots, by Karel Capek.
The play is:
- a comedy
- 100% original, and is
- about 90 minutes long, depending on how hard and long you laugh.
It is divided into six acts:
Act One: Original Sin
Events leading up to the unveiling of the very first robot.
Act Two: Then we sell
Humans are not humans if they don’t turn everything into a product.
Act Three: The Four Laws
Should scientists have the right to decide? Or should Dr. Fingerbottom?
Act Four: Singulariy
If humans can’t tell robots apart, then can robots tell us apart?
Act Five: The Last Human
Is this going to be the last day for humanity? Who will survive?
Act Six: The Arrangement
How will robots treat the last human? Can she find love?
