In this video I’ll go over all the tripod plates and baseplates I have, and how I use them:
Note: I forgot to mention the VCT plate that I have, which is mainly for broadcast-length cameras and I don’t use them nowadays.
Note: When I say ‘tripod plate’, I mean Tripod Quick Release Plate as well.
My favorite is the OConnor baseplate and a combination of Arca-Swiss compatible plates and clamps. With just these I can work around any rigging need for both still and video.
