This page contains an up-to-date list of all the firmware updates released by Sony for the a7R II. I’m going to sort it date-wise, with the latest being on top.

To check the firmware version of your camera, go to Menu F6 > Version.

Important! I won’t take any responsibility for this. People have been known to brick their cameras trying to update the firmware, and there’s no guide or service I can provide to fix that. This one’s between you and Sony. They deserve all the love.

Also important: Once a new version is available, the older ones disappear. It is not possible to roll back to an older version once you update. Each update incorporates (and sometimes improves or changes) the features of an earlier firmware update.
