Summary
- Use E-stabilization for Video
- Shoot at 50/60p for better stabilization
- A gimbal along with IBIS will add a lot!
- Switch off stabilization when the camera is on a tripod, jib or slider
Note for firmware v2.1 and above
There are two new improvements to stabilization you could try (both are in the Stabilizer menu – B > Page 3):
- I.S. Lock(video) – compensates for handshake when the viewing angle is fixed. I you’re standing in one place and pointing at a fixed frame, this is a good option to try.
- Anamorphic (Video) – provides correction when using 2.0x and 1.33x Anamorphic lens.
