Summary

The Flicker reduction feature in the Nikon Z6 is just rudimentary as compared to some other cameras in its class. The simple trick to eliminate flicker is to keep the shutter at a multiple of the electrical frequency in your country.

For most times, just leave Flicker reduction to Auto and the camera just tries to adjust based on the light source.

Please note: Do not rely on the back LCD to find flicker. Sometimes the effects are imperceptible unless seen on a normal-size screen, and by then it’s too late. Use an external monitor or recorder.
